The impact of the cuts on women

A range of evidence has emerged already that clearly shows that cuts are having a disproportionate impact on women. House of Commons research has identified that 72% of the cuts in the budget will come from women’s pockets.

The NUS Women’s Campaign has produced two briefings which highlight how cuts are specifically hitting women in education. These briefings will hopefully be useful for you when you are formulating arguments against cuts locally.

There are a number of other briefings available online which may also help you understand the wider picture of women and cuts.
